Silverado EV: Available in Two Trim Options

The Silverado EV will be offered in two trims, a lower-tier trim and a much more impressive higher-tier trim. The base model work truck is offered at a starting price of $39,900. When you bump up to the Trail Boss or RST trim, You can enjoy more safety, comfort, and tech features. This higher trim will cost you a pretty penny, however, as models will be offered at an estimated starting price of $105,000.

Silverado EV Built on Ultium Platform

The power of the Silverado EV is all thanks to GM’s Utium Platform. This automotive electric powerhouse Is the reason the Silverado EV can provide such impressive horsepower, torque, and of course, zero emissions. With Ultium power, drivers can expect an estimated 400 miles of range on a single charge.

Both models of the Silverado EV feature two electric motors, a motor for each axle. With this power, drivers can look forward to standard 4-wheel drive that puts out impressive power.

The work truck delivers a whopping 510 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque. Bump up to the RST model, and you’ll enjoy an impressive 660 horsepower and 780 lb-ft of torque. The work truck will also deliver a decent towing capacity of 8,000 lbs, while the RST bumps that up to 10,000 lbs. Payload capacity is slightly lower than expected, with the work truck being able to handle 1,200 lbs and the RST offering 1,300 lbs. Despite this, the Silverado EV is expected to be a powerful vehicle for both business and pleasure.

Comfort Comes Standard

The Silverado EV will only be offered in a 4-door, 5-passenger configuration. Inside the cabin, you’ll find a spacious layout that is both comfortable and practical. The dash features one of the largest touchscreen infotainment systems in its class. This 17-in touchscreen allows you to have full control over your vehicle, including the climate, your vehicle’s operation, and of course, entertainment. You’ll have plenty of space when loading up your Silverado EV thanks to the 5.9 ft truck bed. If you need to elongate the truck bed, there is a midgate that lowers and allows you to take advantage of the 60/40 rear seat split. This allows you to have more car room without having to sacrifice safety or performance.
