Like it or not, we are in the world of electric cars and will see a long list of new versions offered in the 2023 model year.

It wasn’t that long ago that the thought of an EV that could replace a gas or diesel-powered vehicle was mostly a far-fetched idea. Today, that notion has turned into a new automotive market in which we find many new models that use nothing but electricity to power the drive. Let’s take a look at ten new models that will bring more to the market and could be what you want to drive in the future.

Cadillac Lyriq

The world of electric SUVs is growing big and continues to become where we expect to see most of the new vehicles offered. Not only is the new 2023 Cadillac Lyriq an electric SUV, but it’s the first EV from this luxury brand. This new model brings a driving range of up to 312 miles per charge, 340 horsepower, and 325 lb-ft of torque. The AWD version of this new Caddy should hit 500 horsepower, delivering the performance numbers we desire.

Genesis GV60

Has Genesis been in the market long enough to be a luxury brand that offers one of the new electric cars? They certainly have, and you should expect the new 2023 Genesis GV60 to be a comfortable and luxurious small SUV. This new model is capable of using an 800-volt DC ultra-fast charger, and it brings a maximum range of 248 miles. Will this be enough driving range, or will Genesis need to go back and improve their EV platform to increase the driving range to a more competitive number?

Hyundai Ioniq 6

The next name in the Ioniq lineup comes to the market for the 2023 model year. The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is a long and sleek midsize electric sedan that should arrive later in the calendar year. We don’t know much about this new car yet, but more information should be available as we come closer to the time when this new model will be part of the market. Is an electric sedan going to be something we want to see and drive, or will it be sucked into the SUV world like so many other sedans?

Jeep Avenger

Even though it’s not coming to the automotive market of the United States, the new 2023 Jeep Avenger will be an electric SUV offered in the European market. This new electric jeep is expected to be as small as the current Renegade and might be its replacement. Unfortunately, Americans have to wait until at least 2024 to find one of the Jeep electric vehicles in the market. This delay won’t bring the Avenger but one of the other new electric cars that wear the Jeep badge.

Mercedes-Benz EQE

If you’re looking forward to a small and active Mercedes-Benz electric SUV, the new 2023 EQE could be the vehicle you want to drive. This new Merc brings a 90-kWh battery pack to provide the desired driving range. This new SUV has 288 horsepower and 417 lb-ft of torque for an excellent drive. This new model should offer plenty of Mercedes-Benz items, including 64-color ambient lighting, a Burmester 3D sound system, and biometric authentication.

Nissan Ariya

We heard about the Nissan Ariya early in its development and have followed it for a long time. This new Nissan is available with FWD or AWD to give you the drive you desire. The driving range can reach up to 300 miles on a full charge, and you’ll get to choose either a standard or long-range battery pack. This could be one of the most popular electric cars as the market continues, piggybacking on the success of the Leaf. The Ariya has maxed out on reservations, making it an SUV that you can only sign up for updates right now.

Subaru Solterra

The 2023 Subaru Solterra is developed alongside the Toyota bZ4X, and it’s expected to be a useful compact crossover SUV. In true Subaru form, the Solterra comes with standard AWD and 8.3 inches of ground clearance. Expect up to 215 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque in this new electric SUV. The driving range should reach up to 228 miles on a full charge. If you’re looking for an electric vehicle that offers good off-road equipment and excellent driving manners, the Solterra could be exactly what you’re after.

Toyota bZ4X

The new Toyota bZ4X is one of the most popular electric cars already. This new model comes to the 2023 model year, offering a driving range of up to 252 miles per charge and delivering standard FWD with an upgraded AWD platform. The batteries can charge to 80% full in only 30 minutes, making this Toyota SUV one of the most impressive and useful vehicles in the market. Get ready for a Toyota that delivers the goods while using electricity for the drive.

Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV

Not to be confused with the EQS sedan, which is one of the most exciting electric cars in the market, the EQS SUV is a roomy and capable vehicle with all the bells and whistles. The driving range reached 350 miles per charge and delivers up to 355 horsepower. The air suspension of this EV allows for various drive modes and makes this one of the most comfortable and luxurious SUVs you’ll enjoy when you get behind the wheel. This is an SUV that carries the Mercedes-Benz name extremely well.

GMC Hummer EV SUV

The follow-up to the Hummer EV pickup truck is an SUV that uses the same Ultium battery platform and delivers insane levels of horsepower and performance. The Hummer EV SUV has 830 horsepower and massive levels of torque for the drive. Expect to find unique features in this electric SUV, including Crab Walk, Extract Model, and Watts to Freedom. This is an SUV that should take over the off-road trails and use nothing but electricity to make it go.

Which one of these new electric cars will be right for you to have the drive you want? These new models expect to be part of the 2023 model year, making this an interesting year for the automotive world.
