Drivers across the country are sitting on the edge of their seats for the new 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. This class-leading SUV will be part of an entirely new generation of Tahoe options to come from off the production line. This is the update we’ve all been waiting for.
Here’s what we know so far:

The first thing drivers will notice about the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe is that it’s over six inches longer than previous models. It isn’t going to lose its traditional boxy shape, but it will sport a refreshed look with a larger grille, boomerang-shaped running lights, and LED headlights on all trim levels.
Except for the base-level LS trim, every Tahoe will come with a power-operated hands-free tailgate. This will make getting in and out of the giant (25.5 cubic feet) rear cargo area easier than ever.
If you go for the RST trim, you’ll be treated to a more aggressive and sporty look that includes blacked-out styling and enormous 22-inch wheels. The High Country model is being adorned with bronze grille accents, power-retractable assist steps, and larger 22-inch wheels.
A Fresh Interior
The Chevrolet Tahoe has always been a favorite full-size SUV. It offers enough room to fit nine people. While there are other full-size SUVs out there like the Expedition, Armada, and Sequoia, none of them can compare to the spacious Tahoe.
Drivers get to choose between six different trim levels: LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. Even the base-level model is loaded with awesome features. You’ll get cloth seating, tri-zone climate control, a ten-inch touchscreen, and more. At the top of the range, you get things like a head-up display, a surround-view camera, and rear camera, and more.
What’s That Under The Hood?
All of the current rumors suggest the new Chevrolet Tahoe will come with the same three engine choices we’ve always loved. All of these offer more than enough power to get you around town.
The entry-level model starts with a 5.3-liter V8 engine that produces 355 horsepower. There is an optional 6.2 V8 engine that makes 420 horsepower. The top-level engine is a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-six. When properly equipped, this SUV can tow up to 8,400 pounds.
Regardless of which engine you choose, it will be paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission and standard rear-wheel drive. You can still get a four-wheel-drive option as well.
Take My Money
All signs point to the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe being introduced at the beginning of this year with official specs. Sales and reservations should start soon after, so check with your local Chevy dealer. The current Chevy Tahoe starts at $49,000 for the LS model and $70,000 for the High-Country trim. The new prices haven’t been released yet, but expect to pay a little more for the next generation of Tahoe.
