We’ve already talked about the fact that the 2019 version of the Honda Pilot will wear several upgrades that make it more interesting and modern than the previous version, but those upgrades didn’t necessarily mean the hybrid model would also be wearing similar changes. The new hybrid version of the largest Honda SUV will be offered but not at the same time as the gasoline version of the SUV and it will have a variety of different upgrades to make it one of that you will want to consider when it’s time for the next SUV you’ll love to drive.

Testing with Some Excellent Features

Even though the Honda Pilot Hybrid was out testing and wearing a large amount of camouflage in the process, we already know or suspect this SUV will make use of a variety of different qualities when it arrives on the market. the new 2019 Honda Pilot Hybrid isn’t expected to show up until later in the year at one of the auto shows and then it will go on sale in the early part of the 2019 calendar year. Until then, we get to discuss what it might carry and what we think it will look like.

We do know the hybrid version of the Pilot will likely utilize the two-motor hybrid system that’s currently being used in the Accord Hybrid and in the Insight. Instead of using a 2.0-liter or1.5-liter Atkinson Cycle engine, which is what those two models make use of, the Pilot will likely make use of the 3.5-liter V6 engine that has plenty of power. This is the same hybrid powertrain that’s used in the Odyssey and will be one that can compete directly with the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid when it makes its way under the hood of the Honda minivan.

More than Just a Powertrain Upgrade

The new Honda Pilot Hybrid will be the beneficiary of a mild makeover, which seems to be happening in a variety of the Honda models. This makeover will result in revised fascias in the front and rear, new LED daytime running lights, taillights that are similar to the Accord, and much more. This new look means the new Pilot Hybrid could easily be heavily influenced by the new Honda Odyssey, which seems to be making its make on the entire lineup with its attractive styling.

If you’re looking for an SUV that has three rows of seats and the hybrid powertrain to be efficient for your driving experience, the new 2019 Honda Pilot Hybrid could be the perfect choice for you. Just wait until later this year when the Pilot Hybrid is offered as an option for you to choose when you’re ready to have a great drive and be able to give your family the ride they need. We should have more information regarding the actual build of the Honda Pilot Hybrid as we grow ever closer to the release date of this amazing new SUV.
