The Supercar You Can Still Buy

In today’s market, it feels like every supercar that’s built is sold off before the first one heads to production. Time and time again we talk about how intense and impressive these models can be and what they bring to the track with the possibility of driving on the road as well, but rarely do we find a supercar that’s still available for purchase. Most of these cars are going to private collectors and often don’t see too many turns at the track or miles on the road, but this is the clientele these cars are typically built for.

The one supercar you can still buy that isn’t a domestic model is the Lexus LFA. This is a car that was produced in only a small number of total models with only 500 that were produced and the production ended in 2012, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a few out there that are still new and can be sold as such. It seems that a supercar of this ilk would have been sold off completely and be in the possession of this that want to appreciate them, but there are several dealers that still list a few of these models as part of their new inventory. One Lexus LFA was sold just a month ago and six were sold last year which leaves twelve of these supercars officially classified as dealer inventory.

It seems like these cars should have been sold in their entirety a long time ago, but Lexus did something a little different in order to create this extended inventory. When the orders for the LFA began to drop off in 2010 the Lexus team allowed for existing owners and dealers to order a second car or for the sales that were going to happen at the dealerships which have created the leftover inventory. While the Lexus dealers are sitting on twelve of these supercars, it appears these are models that won’t be sold. Some of the reasons for holding onto these models is to have them on display or to pass them on to the dealer’s heirs after a period of time. It might take a lot of convincing to get a dealer to sell one of these models to you, but there is a possibility you could find a dealer that’s willing to part with one of these amazing cars.

If you missed the first round of offerings for the Lexus LFA you could still buy one of these models before they are all sold out, but you will have to be an excellent salesperson yourself. There haven’t been any announcements yet as to when we will see a new version of the Lexus LFA but this is a supercar that’s being developed to be offered in the near future. The next round of this supercar might not have any left over after five years from the last production date. Don’twait this long to have the supercar you’ve always wanted, if you’ve been looking for the Lexus LFA you can still find one, but you might have to pay a premium price for this amazing machine.
