When we see an auto show the expectation is that we’re going to be presented with new models that can eventually become the next production cars that will carry us forward with technology and driving dynamics we admire. Some of the models that will eventually occupy the top of the market are the supercars. When the auto show we’re talking about is one in Europe, it’s important to understand that these supercars are being built nearby and don’t have to travel as far for us to be amazed by what companies we know have to offer.
Here are some of the most recent offerings that showed up in Frankfurt
Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster – Showing up in a gorgeous blue color with the look and feel you expect from Lamborghini this car came in powered by the massive 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 740 horsepower and 509 lb.-ft. of torque in the coupe version. The time to reach sixty mph in this car is less than three seconds with a top speed of 217 mph to make this one of the most incredible supercars you’re going to see when it arrives on the market.
Bentley Continental GT – While you might not call this a supercar it certainly carries the price and the power that puts it in the class with some these other impressive power models. The 6.0-liter W12 engine that gives you 626 horsepower and 664 lb.-ft. of torque makes this car one of the most impressive. This engine is attached to a new eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to give you the smooth shifting and performance you want to experience when you choose this car. Of course, talking about the engine doesn’t even let us enjoy the incredible luxury qualities offered in this amazing car.
Audi R8 RWS – When this car made its way to the stage in Frankfurt is showed up as the RWD version of the R8 supercar that was built to attract driving purists. The RWS model of the R8 is lighter than that standard version and is powered by the 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine that offers 540 horsepower to make sure you can have the drive you want and the performance that can go from the road to the track in order to be a car that’s offered for the fun and excitement you want with the luxury qualities you’re looking for.
Ferrari Portofino – Even though this car didn’t debut in Frankfurt it is a car that showed up and gave us an idea of what it would be when it was shown off by this team. This new Ferrari supercar is one that has the sleek lines and the performance you want with the power that comes out of the 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that can give you 590 horsepower and 560 lb.-ft. of torque. This is a car that can reach sixty mph in 3.5 seconds and offer you the performance upgrades you’ve been looking for.
Aspark Owl – This Japanese company brought the Owl to the show to give us a peek at the carbon fiber hypercar that shows you the drive you want and gives you the power you’re looking for on the track and on the road. This car has 1,000 horsepower and can reach sixty mph in two seconds making it the fastest accelerating car in the world. That’s the performance you want and with the dynamic look and feel of this amazing ca, you’ll be ready to have the drive that will be tons of fun on the track.
Mercedes-AMG Project One – This scar doesn’t look like a Mercedes-Benz model, but it’s a car that will offer us the dynamic performance and perfect German engineering we want. There are four electric motors and a 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 engine to produces an insane 1,000 horsepower. This will be a limited version car with only 275 models being built by the company and a price that most of the world can’t afford, but it’s still a car we want to admire and talk about. The sleek and sporty design was somewhat purposely subdued to give us an incredible car to admire on the stage in Frankfurt.
