When you take information that appears to be of a hidden nature and extrapolate it out to create your own conclusion, you\u2019re stretching and reading information to read what you want. While we\u2019ve heard the term \u201cnumbers never lie\u201d used many times over, we can twist numbers to mean whatever we want. Think about it, a batter in baseball is successful if they can hit the ball close to thirty percent of the time while if your child brought home a thirty percent score on a quiz or test they would likely be in jeopardy of your wrath as a parent because that\u2019s a completely unacceptable score.
\nThe most recent extrapolation we\u2019ve seen actually has its basis in something that occurred in the recent history of the automotive world. The Ford Mustang GT, which was recently upgraded and offered to us with 460 horsepower for the 2018 model was originally thought and confirmed to be coming with 455 horsepower. These numbers were revealed in the gauge cluster image of the online brochure that was presented before it actually made its way to the market. The 455 numbers showed up as 4th gear and 55 mph for the car in this image which Ford confirmed was an \u201cEaster Egg\u201d for us to view and discuss with this expected power number.<\/p>\n
If we take the information from the previous offering and take a look at the new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 that will be offered in the next few months, we can see there might be some interesting information for us to discuss. The new model shows us a 12-inch LCD display on page eight of the brochure that gives us a look at what the numbers might be, even though there isn\u2019t any confirmation of these numbers being accurate at all.<\/p>\n
The look from this brochure shows us a Mustang in 7th gear that\u2019s traveling at 72 mph. This means we might think the new Mustang Shelby GT500 could arrive with as much as 772 horsepower from the 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that will be found under the hood. In addition to this number, the odometer in this photo reads 74.3 miles, which suggests we may see as much as 743 lb.-ft. of torque for this car to give us the power we want from the engine to make this a serious sports car with the qualities we want for the drive.<\/p>\n
Does this sound like a huge stretch in the information for this car? It might, but if there wasn\u2019t a premise of previous numbers that gave us a look at what the current Ford Mustang<\/a> GT happens to offer, we might not have this discussion at all. We\u2019re going to have to wait and see if any teasers are offered from Ford regarding the new GT500 with the power number that will be much closer to 800 horsepower than 700 for the active and amazing drive that could be exactly what you want when it\u2019s time to have a serious track monster as the car you want to enjoy driving every weekend.<\/p>\n
