The Hyundai Grandeur. It’s not something that you’ll find sitting on a Hyundai dealership lot here in the States, but if you go to South Korea, you’ll find that the Grandeur redefines what a luxury sedan looks and feels like.
A Flagship Sedan
The Grandeur might not be a familiar name here, but in Korea, it’s been around since 1986. This iconic luxury sedan has been through several generations of updates and development, and it holds a special place in many driver’s hearts. It’s the largest and the most expensive sedan produced by Hyundai, and it has a list of equipment that is equally impressive.
The Grandeur or the Azera?
When Hyundai revealed the new Grandeur to its global markets in 2022, it was with a new name. What was once the Azera reappeared as the Grandeur. The Azera was available in the U.S., but then Hyundai spun off its luxury vehicles into the Genesis brand for the U.S. market.
What Can You Get with the Hyundai Grandeur
The Grandeur has a sleek and modern design with lots of room for all five passengers and an abundance of advanced technology. Power comes from a 3.5-liter V-6 gas engine that churns out 290 horsepower.
Inside, you’ll find all kinds of luxury amenities. The seats are covered in plush leather, and a panoramic sunroof allows plenty of natural sunlight to come in. The dashboard has a 12.3-inch touchscreen to house the infotainment system, which also provides easy smartphone integration.
The 2025 Hyundai Grandeur
The Grandeur was the best-selling Hyundai in Korea last year. The 2024 model year marked the seventh generation of the popular sedan, with significant updates, but just 18 months after the redesign, the 2025 is on its way with some added upgrades.
The 2025 Grandeur will offer a black exterior package and some extra black elements in the interior. It will also have the Lane Keeping Assist 2 system for all the 2025 Grandeur models. This is an updated version of the safety system with improvements to the lane-centering assist feature.
A Distinctive Exterior Look
You can’t mistake the Hyundai Grandeur for anything but a luxury sedan. It makes a statement whether it’s coming or going with futuristic LED light bars that stretch from side to side. The front bar has integrated the turn signals, while the headlight beans are mounted on the front bumper below. This Hyundai uses all the exterior lights in the Dynamic Welcome Light function, so when you approach the Grandeur, you’ll be greeted by an illuminated vehicle.
So, if you’ve heard about the Hyundai Grandeur and you’re wondering where you can get one, you’ll have to take a trip to South Korea. But don’t worry, if you want a luxury sedan from Hyundai here in the states, you can still get the ride you’re looking for, just head to your local Hyundai or Genesis dealer.
