The Chrysler 300 sedan is back for 2022 and it’s still as awesome as ever. This Chrysler offers the comfort and convenience of a sedan, but it has a sporty look and powerful engines for drivers who want to turn heads. The latest version of the 300 gained a new N95 cabin filter, and there are a few tweaks to the features for several trims.
The Model Lineup
The model lineup for the 2022 Chrysler 300 remains the same and still starts with the entry-level Touring. The base model has exterior convenience features such as heated side mirrors and keyless entry, but stepping up a trim gets you more. The Touring L has fog lights and an auto-dimming driver’s side mirror.
For 2022, this mid-level trim also now comes with the Sport Appearance Package, which gives it dark 20-inch wheels. At the top of the 300 lineup, the S is the sportiest version of this sedan. It comes standard with a sport-tuned suspension, and if you opt for the V-8 engine, it has aerodynamic exterior elements and a panoramic sunroof.
It Offers Two Engines
The standard engine for the 300 is a 3.6-liter V-6 gas engine with variable valve timing that puts out 287 horsepower. If you want more power, the 300S offers an optional 5.7-liter V-8 engine with an impressive 363 horsepower.
Front-wheel drive comes standard, but the Touring and Touring L offer all-wheel drive as an option. This can come in handy when you need better traction in areas where it snows and the roads get slippery.
The Interior Is Spacious and Upscale
Inside, the front bucket seats are comfortable, and both rows have plenty of head and legroom. The new N95 air filtration system filters 95% of particulates floating in the air, helping to reduce smoke, dust, and droplets in the cabin. If you have the entry-level 300 Touring, it comes with cloth upholstery, but stepping up to the Touring L or S adds leather upholstery.
Chrysler makes convenience features such as power-adjustable front seat standard, and the top two trims add heated front seats. A dual-pane panoramic sunroof is standard with the 300S and available as an option for the lower trims.
It Comes with Fun Tech Features
In the center of the dash, you’ll get an 8.4-inch touch screen. It comes with the Uconnect infotainment system and works with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Satellite radio is standard in all trims, and when you need to plug in your phone, there are two USB ports in the front. Chrysler makes advanced safety technology available for the 300 as part of the SafetyTec Plus Group.
This adds a forward collision warning and mitigation system, adaptive cruise control, and
automatic high beam headlights. Lane-departure warning is also part of this group and sends the driver an alert if the 300 starts to drift out of its lane. The 2022 Chrysler 300 is as big and bold as ever, and even though the sedan market keeps shrinking, die-hard full-size sedan lovers can still get their fix with this classic.
