This truck is one that was powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine with the ten-speed automatic transmission to deliver 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque with no performance modifications added to it at all. A New Racing Silverado
The Silverado takeover was evident at the Gander Outdoors Truck Series kickoff race as well. This is where the first new Silverado race truck came to compete as the first Silverado race truck offered since 2014. The Silverado has won 232 times, taken home nine Manufacturers’ Championships, and 13 Drivers’ Championships in its history. This has been the most successful truck in the racing series since it began to compete in 1995 in the inaugural race. The new racing version of the Silverado will be aligned with the new Silverado RST that you can purchase at your nearby dealership.
A Lucky Fan Receives a Silverado Experience
One lucky fan was able to win an unforgettable experience at Hotel Silverado. This fan and his closest family and friends were the first to be able to camp out at the Chevrolet Experience Center on the Daytona Motor Speedway infield during the weekend. The Hotel Silverado is set up with six trucks that are equipped with tents and bets to allow this lucky winner to have a great camping experience in the bed of a truck. This was accomplished through a partnership with the Chevy Cares foundation and the American Cancer Society.
