Every year, Consumer Reports compiles a list of brands and allows us to know which brands are considered to be the most reliable for you to choose from. The brands on this list have separated themselves from the pack to be ones that you know you can enjoy driving and will be able to trust to perform.
Hyundai Reliability
With a tie in the ninth place on the list, Hyundai shows that its more than just a bargain brand and its one that we can trust to be the brand we choose when it’s time to get out on the road and have a great drive. The least reliable Hyundai model is the Ioniq while the most reliable is the new Santa Fe XL and Hyundai Santa Fe Sport.
MINI
The MINI brand is the one to tie with Hyundai and is a reliable brand that comes from Great Britain, where reliability has been an issue in the past. Last year, this brand didn’t have a ranking but for this year the Cooper is the least reliable and the Countryman has been rated as the most reliable from this brand.
BMW
In the eight spot, BMW makes its way to the list as a reliable brand that you can enjoy. Not only can you have an exciting drive that’s active on the road, but you can trust what you’re driving. The X1 is the least reliable BMW model and the i3 is the most reliable to give you an idea of what to expect.
Audi
Audi has dropped own three spots this year, but still makes its way to the seventh spot on the lust. The Audi brand has been one we trust to offer us excellent interior features and qualities for the drive. The A3 was listed as the least dependable model in the brand listing while the Q5 makes its way to the top to be the most reliable.
Infiniti
Another tie takes place in the fifth spot with Infiniti and Kia reaching this level. Infiniti moved up one spot this year to be rated a bit more reliable than in the past. The least reliable Infiniti model is the Q50 while the Q60 was rated as the most reliable model that you can drive.
Kia
Kia is the other brand that occupies the fifth spot in this list, but that represents a decline by two positions for the brand. Of the Kia models on the market, the Cadenza was reported as the least reliable model and the Sedona minivan was the one that was able to reach up and be the top of the list of reliability for the brand.
Subaru
Moving up the list by two positions is Subaru, which has been a brand that we’ve admired for its off-road and AWD features that are offered on nearly every brand. If you’re considering a Subaru model to drive, the WRX was listed as the least dependable but the Crosstrek made it to the top of the list to be the most trustworthy vehicle offered.
Mazda
The Mazda brand saw a massive jump of nine positions for the 2018 list and found its way to third place in the list. This brand offers us six models that were looked at, and of them, the CX-3 was rated as the least reliable with the MX-5 Miata being the most reliable model from this brand.
Toyota
The brand that’s normally at the top of this list has dropped down one spot this year. As the second most trustworthy brand on the market, you know you’re going to have a great vehicle that you can trust from this brand. The most trustworthy Toyota is the Prius C while the least reliable is the Tacoma.
Lexus
It shouldn’t come as any surprise that Toyota was supplanted by its own luxury brand. Earning the top honors as the most dependable brand on the market this year, Lexus is the right luxury brand for you. The least dependable model is the IS while the most dependable happens to be the GX.
