Which Truck is Right for You?

Ram 1500: which truck is right for you?

For most of us, the brand of truck we want to drive is often a loyalty that’s been embedded deep in our heritage. If you’re one of the lucky few that don’t have a brand loyalty or you want to see what else is out there regardless of what the rest of your family and friends advice, you need to know as much as you can about the pickup trucks on the market. With five major choices for you, the right truck is on the market, you just have to find the one that will give you the ride you’ve been after.

Let’s take a look at the different pickup trucks offered:

Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra 1500

GM continues to stick with the naturally aspirated lineup of engines for you to enjoy and the big 5.3-liter V8 engine is one that will bring you 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is attached to a six-speed automatic transmission and makes it possible for this truck to tow up to 9,200 pounds. With this impressive power, the GM models offer you excellent fuel mileage and a smooth ride on the road to give you a truck that drives big but is limited when you hit the trails. This makes the GM pair a great choice for the job site and on-road hauling.

Ford F-150

This has been the most popular truck on the market for the past forty years and it now offers you more of what you want with a powertrain lineup that includes EcoBoost engines and a solid power output. You can enjoy up to 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque with the EcoBoost V6 engine which is rated to tow up to 12,200 pounds. You’ll enjoy this truck if you want one that is agile on the road and if you want to head off-road, the Raptor is offered to be the right choice for you to make and enjoy.

Ram 1500

The Ram 1500 pickup truck continues to offer the look and feel of a tough truck that looks impressive and offers you a turbocharged diesel powertrain with a 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 240 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque. This setup is powerful enough to pull a 9,210-pound trailer to wherever you need to go. You can also enjoy the off-road performance of the Rebel model in the Ram 1500 and know you’ve chosen a truck that’s efficient to drive when you select the diesel.

Nissan Titan

We finally have the second generation of the Nissan Titan on the market and this brand engaged in a bit of new area of the market. The Titan XD is a truck that fits just above the half-ton truck but below the three-quarter ton trucks to make it possible to have a truck that has the power needed without the added size. This truck does offer an excellent off-road package for you to head out on the trails, but you might find yourself looking for more design and comfort form the interior.

Toyota Tundra

With this truck, the only engine size you’ll find is a V8. That’s actually a benefit for this big brute which has been offered from the brand that is reliable and dependable for you on the road. You can tow as much as 10,500 pounds with this big beast and get the job done. You’ll enjoy a roomy cab, but this truck is one of the oldest in the class right now, making it a truck that will hopefully be upgraded and improved upon with a new generation in the upcoming years.
